Teresa Bertran (Teresa d'Arenys)
Teresa d'Arenys (M. Teresa Bertran Rossell, Arenys de Mar, 1952) is author of the poetry collections Aor (Amadeu Oller Prize 1976), Onada (Wave – 1980) and Murmuris (Murmurs – 1986), inter alia. She has translated two of Rainer Maria Rilke’s Requiems (Dos rèquiems, 1997) and has also adapted two collections of Tuareg poetry: La requesta i el refús (Request and Refusal – 1996) and Tuareg, Cants d'amor i de guerra de l'Ahaggar (Tuareg, Ahaggar Songs of Love and War – 1999).
In 2000 she published the novel El quadern d’Agnès Solà (Angès Solà’s Notebook), while the same year she was awarded the Fifth Quima Jaume Cadaqués Prize in Recognition of Poetic Creation for Cants d'amor i de guerra de l'Ahaggar.
She is a member of AELC (Association of Catalan Language Writers).
