Jordi Torres Calvo (Terrassa, 1962) is a lecturer and poet whose literary work is in the area of Japanese poetry. His first collection of poems, Dies malalts de pluja (Tushita Edicions) was published in 2020, and was followed in 2022 by Per les valls del gegant adormit, a diary account of travelling in the Pyrenees that combines prose and haiku, which was translated into Spanish in 2025. He is also author of Tankes a Gumersinda i altres poems (Tushita Edicions, 2024), Complicitats. Tankes a quatre mans (Editorial Trípode, 2025 – coauthored with the poet Pep Cortès in the form of an exchange of haikus), and Turbulències. 101 haikús de Kôji Tawâzu (Tushita Edicions, 2026).
Jordi Torres Calvo gives talks and workshops on personal growth and also on the art of the haiku at schools in Terrassa, and is president of the Terrassa Poets Association (APdT).
He is a member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC).
