Dolors Garcia i Cornellà (Girona, 1956) set out on her literary career when she won the Just M. Casero Prize in 1985 for her book Albert. Ever since then she has been writing almost exclusively for children and young people.
She has published some sixty books to date and has won a considerable number of literary awards. For some time now, she has been engaged in an intensive campaign visiting primary and secondary schools in the Catalan-language territories to talk about books and the fact of writing with her young readers. She has been living for many years in Vilobí d'Onyar, a small town in the La Selva region.
She is a member of the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC – Association of Catalan Language Writers).
