Jaume Fabre (Barcelona 1948) has a doctorate in Contemporary History and a degree in Communication Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona where he worked as a lecturer in History of Journalism. He has published over fifty books on urban history, the history of everyday life, history of institutions and studies on communication, half of them in collaboration with Josep Maria Huertas (who died in 2007). Since 1967, he has been working as a journalist in the press and television and continues to do so today.
He is an honorary member of the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (Association of Catalan Language Writers).
