Antoni Ibañez Ros (Lleida, 1964) is a philosopher and writer. He studied Philosophy at the universities of Navarra and Barcelona and the University of Barcelona. A secondary school teacher since 1989, he has combined teaching work with literature. He has been awarded some twenty prizes for his books, the most notable being the regional prizes forwork, among them the regional prizes for fiction of Omnium Cultural of Granollers, for Darrer poema (Last Poem, 1998) and El camí de la Tau (The Way of Tau, 1999); the Regional Prize for Poetry for Reravera (Autumn, 2000); the Francesc Català Poetry Prize of Perpignan for Un dia qualsevol (Any Old Day, 2001); the Jaume Maspons Prize for Humour and Satire for Tros de Quònium (Clot, 2003); the Sant Cugat Gabriel Ferreter Prize for Poetry for Una certa penombra (A Certain Half-Light, 2005), and the Vall d'Albaida Prize for Erotic Literature fot l'Oracle Imminent (The Imminent Oracle, 2006). He has also translated Fernando Pessoa's The Education of the Stoic into Catalan (L'educació de l'estoic, Quaderns Crema, 2003). Moreover, he is a founder-member of the collective Erato in Vallromanes. He gives recitals, is a frequent contributor in the mass media (press and radio) and is a well-known in the Catalan-language world for his Blogs Tros de Quòniam and Entrellum.

He is a member of AELC (Association of Catalan Language Writers).
