Miquel Pueyo i París (Lleida, 1957), a lecturer in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication at the University of Lleida, and specialist in non-fiction literature and language policy, has a PhD in Catalan Philology from the University of Barcelona. He is the author of Lleida, ni blancs ni negres, però espanyols, Tres escoles per als Catalans, El fantasma de la mort del català, Mort certa, hora incerta, and other essays. He has been a member of the Catalan parliament, Secretary for Language Policy, a government delegate, promotor of the Montsec Astronomical Park, and mayor of Lleida (2019-2023).

He is a member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (Association of Catalan Language Writers – AELC).
