Enric Larreula (Barcelona, 1941), writer and University Professor. After several occupations he graduated in Catalan Philisophy from Universitat de Barcelona in 1983, and began working as a Catalan language and didactics teacher for the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He took part in the production of over sixty books about language learning.

In 1981 he started publishing children's and teenager's literature, with a production that has already become one of the most important work of Catalan children's and teenager's literature, with titles like Marduix (1983), for which he was awared the Crítica Serra d'Or in 1984, Em dic Paco... (1991), Contes per a un món millor (1992), awarded with the Lola Anglada in 1991, or the series Ala de Corb, illustrated by Jordi Vila Delclòs.

He has also published poetry, theatre, essay, short stories and satirical literature, including La propina (1990) and La dutxa (2000), both awarded with the Pere Quart d'humor i sàtira in 1990 and 2000 respectively. Some of his work has been translated into Basque, Galician, Spanish, Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Swedish. He collaborates regularly in press and radio.

In 2002 he was honored with the Premi d'Honor Jaume I, and he is an honorary member of Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC, Association of Catalan Language Writers).
