Blanca Busquets

Blanca Busquets (Barcelona, 1961) is a writer, journalist and philologist.

Written word has marked her life. At the age of twelve she wrote her first story and, ever since then, writing has been the mainstay of her existence.

She has published the novels Presˇ de neu (Proa, 2003), and under Rosa dels Vents publishing house, El jersei (2006), Tren a PuigcerdÓ (2007), VÚs a saber on Ús el cel (2009), La nevada del cucut (2010), La casa del silenci (2013) and Paraules a mitges (2014). Her last novel, JardÝ a l'obaga (2016), has been published again under Proa publishing house.

torna a estar publicada amb el segell Proa. Els seus llibres han estat tradu´ts al castellÓ, l'italiÓ, l'alemany, el rus, el noruec, el polonŔs i el francŔs. Her books have been translated into Italian, French, German, Norwegian, Polish, Russian and Spanish.

She has been working as a radio journalist at Catalunya RÓdio since 1986 and has produced several programmes. She also worked as a writer for the Catalan television station Televisiˇ de Catalunya for seven years. She is a regular collaborator for the digital newspaper and she participates in the "Head Writers" programme at the LlišÓ de Vall public library.

She is a member of the Associaciˇ d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC ľ Association of Catalan Language Writers).
