Isabel Robles Gómez (Alhambra, 1948), is a poet, essayist, teacher, and translator, and has a degree in Geography and History from the University of Valencia and another in Hispanic Studies from the Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, USA.

She writes as a literary critic from a gender perspective with pieces on authors including Virginia Woolf and Montserrat Roig. She has also translated the playwright Myrna Lamb, the poets Anne Sexton, Edward Estlin Cumming, and Adrienne Rich, and the novelist Edgar Allan Poe.

In the domain of poetry she has published collections including L’Espiral (1994, winner of the La Forest d’Arana Prize for Poetry), Llibre dels adéus (2009), Les sabates i altres poems (2014, winner of the 32nd Ibn Hazm Prize for Poetry), and Han tornat les roselles (2023, winner of the Vila de Catarroja Benvingut Oliver Prize for Poetry).

She is an honorary member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC – Association of Catalan Language Writers).
