Eusèbia Rayó (Palma, 1951), a writer and historian, has published mainly children’s and young people’s books including such titles as L’alquímia del cor (winner of the 1986 Guillem Cifre de Colonya Award, and mentioned in the CCEI List of Honour), L'exèrcit dels innocents (winner of the 1993 Serra d’Or Critics’ Prize), Escac a la princesa (1990), Una veu del passat (1990), Totes les terres, la meva terra (1997), El cant de la lluna (2005), Un dia entre les algues (2006), and El cor del senyor Rossini (2018).
In recent years, she has been engaged in historical research about violence against women in the Balearic Islands from the Middle Ages until the twentieth century. She has written two volumes of Reines de Mallorques. A l’ombra del poder, and has also produced an educational itinerant exhibition on the theme.
She is a member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC – Association of Catalan Language Writers).
