Francesca Ensenyat i Seguí (Pollença, 1951 - Inca, 2009) was a writer.

She began writing poetry and published the collection Ciutat de l’horabaixa in 1968. However, the bulk of her work is fiction, a genre in which she received several awards with such titles as L’amagatall de guipur (1976 – City of Manacor Prize), Villa Coppola (1985 – City of Palma Prize for the Novel), Quan venia l’esquadra (1994 – Ramon Muntaner Prize for Young People’s Literature), Massa vi per a un sol calze (1994 – City of Mollerussa Prize for the Novella).

Considered a pioneer and reference of digital literature, she was also author of the blog L’hidroavió apagafocs, where she posted the chapters of her novel Babalusa, la medusa, which was published posthumously.

In 1979, she founded and was president of the Pollença chapter of the Balearic Islands Cultural Foundation, and also launched its publication El Gall. Moreover, she founded and edited the monthly magazine L’Espira and worked with several media outlets.

In 2002 she was a board member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (Association of Catalan Language Writers – AELC), of which she was a member.
